Poor brazilian people

Ante Scriptum

Yesterday I went to a public hospital – the indignation overwhelmed me.
The bathroom was filthy like a true public pissoir – there was no toilet paper.

The elevator I needed to take, was out of work since the last time I was there – almost a month ago.

To tell you the truth: it is an university hospital in Rio de Janeiro, but it reminded me the pictures I had seen of the cuban hospitals.

I felt pity of the people who were waiting with humbleness and  patience  to be attended.

Today, I read the news I post below, conveyed in a newspaper of wide circulation.

I could not think about ANYTHING. I felt extremelly sad and ashamed because,  till a certain extent,  I had believed  in the
promises made by the politicians before they were elected. Some of them are still representatives and senators. One – LULA is the
previous president – and Dilma is the Chief of State and the  Head of the Government …(*)

Poor Brazilians.
Poor country without a direction.
What is future awaits us,
If the rulers themselves
disrespect the Constitution?”

Lack of respect with the citizen

The HEALTH, the Education and the Security Systems in Brazil
are a complete chaos.  There’s also a great lack of common
sense:
“Dilma releases 13 million reais to build LULA’s statue”….(**)

(*) Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva – LULA – was the president who ‘advised’ president  OBAMA to implement in the US a Health System like the brazilian… (but when he got sick he was NOT treated in any of the existent government hospitals, but in a private one – and the expenses were payed by the brazilian people).
